Dr. Kendall Balchen has been practicing chiropractic for over 20 years. Originally from the prairies, she owned a chiropractic clinic in Saskatoon for 10 years before moving to London, Ontario. In 2007, she moved to Newmarket and opened Balchen Chiropractic Clinic.

Unlike most chiropractic treatments, she offers a gentle type of treatment that does not involve any twisting or cracking. Conditions that she commonly treats are neck and back pain, shoulder injuries, headaches, plantar fasciitis and posture problems. She can also help reduce pain and stiffness due to arthritis and other age-related conditions. One of the most common complaints that she treats, is a general ache or tightness in the neck and shoulders, especially from desk work and texting.

In addition, Dr. Balchen obtained a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from the University of Manitoba. She can advise patients on exercises and stretches that they can do at home to help with any posture related problems, or for prevention of their chronic or recurring aches. Having been a competitive athlete herself, Dr. Balchen frequently treats sports-related injuries from soccer, hockey, tennis and golf. She also wants her patients to know that she also practices what she preaches, with daily exercise and healthy nutrition.

Dr. Balchen also uses Cold Laser Therapy and/or Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy for the treatment of a multitude of conditions including arthritis, ankle sprains, fracture healing, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis and post-surgical healing.
